The WLCU is a non-profit organization, non-sectarian, and independent of the Lebanese government. The interest of the organization includes the preservation of the homeland as an independent democratic country, which promotes human rights, freedom and justice.
The World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) is an International Non-governmental Organization (INGO) associated with the UN DPI and accredited with the ECOSOC of the UN. The organization is registered in New York, USA as a Trans Global Corporation (TGC).
The WLCU was founded in 1959 with the goal to unite descendants of Lebanese origin and friends of Lebanon into one worldwide organization and to promote and preserve Lebanese culture and heritage ensuring its spirit for generations to come.

The WLCU currently maintains 390 active Chapters Worldwide that work in coordination to further its mission and goals.
The WLCU Massachusetts Council, also known as WLCU Boston Chapter, (WLCU Boston) is affiliated with the Global WLCU and is its oldest Chapter in North America. It was established in 1960 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a non-profit corporation.
WLCU Boston is recognized as a tax exempt charitable organization by the US Internal Revenue Service, under section 501 (c)3 of the code.
WLCU Boston adheres to the principles of the Global WLCU and operates locally in Massachusetts advancing the goals of the WLCU with its own local objectives.

We support and work with charitable organizations in Lebanon that are recognized by the Lebanese government and are fully vetted by our board members.
We give priorities to organizations that serve underserved children and children with special needs.
We endeavor to partner with organizations without any political or Religious prejudice.
All of our work is volunteer based and 100% of raised funds go directly to our selected charities
